Hello, I am looking at doing a 3 day program in the last week of November/first week of December. What would the pricing be for this? Do you'll have a tie up with a hostel/hotel nearby? How much would that cost too. I have had basic training in kitesurfing.

Hi, We usually get excellent wind that time of year - it’s a great time to come to Pranburi! Would you like to do a group course or private lessons? Our group course is 11000 baht, our private course is 12000baht. Group is cheaper but you will get more out of private lessons. We always use radio helmets - don’t learn without them! It helps you learn in half the time and it’s much safer. We can teach you a lot one on one with radios. There are a few local hotels we work with, from 500baht per night up to 20000, the more expensive are beach front the cheaper ones are back a bit. What’s your budget?
When will be the best season for beginners? I can spend eight to ten days, is there any package full course with good accommodation for beginners to intermediate level?

Hi Fred, Our season is November - June, so any time in that period should be good. If you had to choose 2 ‘best’ months, i would suggest december or march. December has stronger wind, but waves. The wind is more reliable, so you’re likely to get 70-80% of your time on the water. March gets lighter wind, but no waves. The wind is less reliable though, so you’ll get 60-70% of water time. Some people find it easier to learn when the waves are smaller, so if you are less comfortable in deep water and waves, come from feb-may. Our spot feb-may is shallow waist deep, with very little waves. However if you want to maximize your chance of wind, come nov-Jan. We will be starting to do zero-hero 1 week courses this season, with accommodation included. This could be exactly what you are looking for! We haven’t quite worked out the details yet, but when we do i will send you an email. The first one will be in early december, as the wind is pretty reliable then. Have you tried kitesurfing before? Or are you a complete beginner? Warm regards, Col

Hi rob thanks for your message. Our usual full beginners course is 3 half days. It's not going to get you riding like an expert but it should get you riding a little, and then you'll see if you like it and want to continue. Plan for 5 days here if you can, either you can rent for 2 days after the course, or just rest a bit. There's plenty for your wives to do - sightseeing, national parks, temples, loads of good restaurants, massage, cooking classes, or just sitting under a tree reading a good book!
