We made it a point to get to the Aviation Museum this trip. We booked a tour of the Control Tower prior to going through the museum/exhibit area. The Tower was a highlight of our time here! Our tour… Full review by FLAGSTICK88

As a former military dependent, I was super interested in this particular piece of the Pearl Harbor complex. There were a lot of aircraft to view - some in hangars, some outside. There is also a mix … Full review by 348emilyl

While at Pearl Harbor we decided to check out the aviation museum. Some very cool planes and the only place to see a real Japanese zero. The planes span decades of military aviation. There is also… Full review by Patrick M

It’s an easy 2 hour visit, even with kids.
Q:
Is this attraction kid-friendly? Would children enjoy it?
A:
Very much so
Q:
Is it worth going to the Pacific Aviation Museum on a rainy day? Thanks!

Sure just bring umbtella to walk between the buildings — there are few planes outside but most are inside two different buildings

Hi!! One question, if I only want to visit this museum can I purchase tickets just for this one? There is a combo for 65$ that includes the battleship, aviation and submarine but it seems a bit pricey and time constraint.
A:
Yes you can. I would suggest the tour with the docent if you want to know interesting details that are not in the history books or Hollywood movies ;-)
Q:
How much does it cost? And it is it worth it to rent a car?

You aren't able to drive a car over to Ford Island to see the museum. Your access over is via bus at Pearl Harbor Park. There is a card called Go Oahu that you can purchase online or through Costco. This card has many great attractions available on it. If purchased online through the company, you chose how many days you want. If you purchase through Costco, it is a four day card. Costco is the best deal. A three or more day card gets you a bonus attraction. I took my group of 30 to the Polynesian Cultural Center for the day and used the bonus attraction of a luau. It was great. The card is good at each attraction one time. So if you go to five attractions in one day, they are covered. We went to Pearl Harbor Park, got tickets for the Arizona Memorial (do this early as they only hand out a certain number. You need to hit the park when it opens.) We also got tickets for the Bowfin submarine, Battleship Missouri and the bus that transports you to Ford Island. (At Ford Island, visit Missouri first as it closes early then go back to the Pacific Aviation Museum). All of these are on the Go Oahu Card. We chose to rent a vehicle as it enabled us to tour the entire island. Many of the attractions were near Waikiki area, but some of the really neat adventures were not. My favorite of luaus is Germaine's. Unfortunately the last time we went, it was not on the Go Oahu Card. We did the Polynesian Cultural Center instead. Food was good as was the shows. I liked Germaine's the best as it was right on the beach and you were able to see them roasting the pork and participate in the show if interested. Have a great trip. It is one of my favorite places to go.
