Don't want to purchase advance tickets but will only be in area for one day. Is it too risky to wait to buy tickets directly at plantation for same day tour?
A:
Start early on a week day and be willing to wait. They do run tours frequently. Practically a continuously revolving door. Great tour, so worth the wait.
Q:
Do you have to pay for a tour or can you walk some of the grounds freely?
A:
It is a paid tour. Very reasonable. And worth it especially if you get Pam.
Q:
Is it difficult finding a lyft or Uber driver from the plantation back to New Orleans?
A:
As mentioned above New Orleans is an hour from the Plantation....probably renting a car would be the best idea....
Q:
Is RV parking available?
A:
They have a huge parking lot and we saw buses coming in and parking. There is space designated for buses. So i guess that is where you would park an RV too.
