The IDF publishes new photos of Hamas’s de facto leader in the Gaza Strip, Izz al-Din Haddad. Haddad is the commander of Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade, and following the death of Muhammad Sinwar in May he became the new head of the terror group in the Strip.

The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) and Israel Defence Forces (IDF) announced that these individuals, part of Hamas's Judea and Samaria \"headquarters,\" were involved in recruiting terrorists and coordinating attacks from Gaza into Judea and Samaria.

Cease-fire talks between Israel and Hamas stall amid hostage disputes, political tensions, and aid access issues.

Meanwhile, two explosive devices were detonated against Israeli soldiers during an operation in the Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza, killing five soldiers and injuring 14 more. The soldiers have been named as Meir Shimon Amar, Moshe Nissim Frech and Noam Aharon Musgadian, all aged 20, Benyamin Asulin, 28, and Moshe Shmuel Noll, 21.

According to the Israeli military, 450 soldiers have been killed in the Gaza campaign since the start of the ground offensive on October 27, 2023. Hamas's October 7, 2023 attack resulted in the deaths of 1,219 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on Israeli official figures.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he discussed efforts to release hostages held in Gaza and the ongoing military campaign to defeat Hamas during talks at the White House with US President Donald Trump.

The strike, carried out by a fighter jet on 30 June in Gaza City, killed Ramzi Ramadan Abd Ali Saleh. He was described by the IDF as a key figure in Hamas who had recently been involved in planning attacks at sea against Israeli forces.
