Arjun Erigaisi has become only the second Indian Grandmaster, after Viswanathan Anand, to surpass the Elo Rating of 2800. Arjun currently has an Elo rating of 2801 and is ranked fourth in the world.

Arjun's participation at the Norway Chess has been confirmed after he reached a career-high live rating of 2801 in December.

Arjun Erigaisi has become the youngest Indian to cross the coveted 2800 ELO rating. He is the 16th player overall to breach the elusive mark. Arjun achieved the feat after beating Russia’s Dmitry Andreikin in the fifth round of the European Chess Club Cup 2024.
