The 20th-ranked Arkansas men’s basketball team blitzed Arkansas-Little Rock early and withstood a second-half rally to win 79-67 on Friday at Bud Walton Arena.

The Razorbacks (4-1), who led by as many as 22 points, saw their lead shrink to 7 midway through the second half before a pair of 7-0 runs created separation. Arkansas was powered by its defense, as the Razorbacks created 15 steals and turned 19 turnovers into 28 points.

Adou Thiero scored 23 points, and Boogie Fland added another 21 to lead No. 20 Arkansas to a 79-67 win over Little Rock on Friday night. Thiero scored 16 of his 23 in the second half to put the Trojans away after they cut Arkansas’ lead to seven points.

Arkansas leads the series 1-0. The Razorbacks won their lone official game against the Trojans 93-78 in 2021. Arkansas and Little Rock previously met in a charity exhibition game in 2019. The Razorbacks won the exhibition 79-64.

Game three of the current Razorback homestand will see Arkansas hosting Little Rock on Friday (Nov. 22) in Bud Walton Arena. Tipoff is set for 8 pm and the game will be televised on SEC Network.
