Japan's Nikkei 225 futures pointed to a stronger open for the market. The futures contract in Chicago is currently at 40,260 and its counterpart in Osaka last traded at 40,480 compared to the index's previous close of 39,931.98.

South Korea’s economy expanded 1.2% year on year in the fourth quarter, marking its slowest expansion since the second quarter of 2023.

Asia-Pacific markets trade mixed on Monday, dampened by disappointing PMI data from China. Investors also remain cautious about the potential impact of Trump’s tariff policies, with attention also on the Federal Reserve’s decision this week.
