Bayern Munich met FC Augsburg in the first of this season’s Bavarian derbies, and while Bayern had essentially climbed all over Augsburg’s paralysed body, they just couldn’t seem to land the killing blows until Harry Kane found the breakthrough from a handball penalty.

Bayern Munich's Harry Kane scored a hat-trick with two of the goals in second half stoppage time, to give the league leaders a 3-0 win over visitors Augsburg on Friday and open up an eight-point gap at the top with their sixth straight clean sheet across all competitions.

That match did not feel like a 3-0 win at all. Augsburg had their goal on lockdown but Bayern still managed to put three goals in. Granted two of them were penalties but showing signs of being able to overcome low-blocks is a good sign.
