Rep.-elect Tom Barrett (R-MI) will start his freshman term in Congress in the same office his great-grandfather occupied 70 years earlier when he passed consequential legislation to change the Pledge of Allegiance.

After getting elected to Congress on his second try two weeks ago, U.S. Rep-elect Tom Barrett, R-Charlotte, got busy on another goal: securing for himself and his staff one of the offices used by his great-grandfather when he had represented Michigan. On Thursday, Barrett succeeded.
