Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen started the first game of the back-to-back set, which could line up James Reimer to make his Sabres debut in goal. Reimer was reacquired by the Sabres off waivers from Anaheim on Nov. 13.

Jake Neighbours scored the lone shootout goal, Jordan Binnington denied all three San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues snapped a four-game home losing streak with a 3-2 victory Thursday night.

Ducks goalie John Gibson made a save on a 2-on-1 break, but Kulich scored off the rebound. Peyton Krebs and Jason Zucker also scored, Owen Power had three assists and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 22 saves for the Sabres (10-9-1), who have won three of four.

The Ducks came in riding a three-game winning streak, while the Sabres came in fresh off a 1-0 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday. Ducks' head coach Greg Cronin iced an identical lineup to the one that earned the Ducks a 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday.

It took nearly two periods, but the Buffalo Sabres found their game and pulled off the 3-2 overtime win in Anaheim on Friday.
