Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has pardoned two turkeys named after the state’s famous basketball star Caitlin Clark. The turkeys, Caitlin and Clark, were pardoned from the Thanksgiving dinner table on Tuesday morning at Terrace Hill.

(Des Moines) Gov. Kim Reynolds pardoned two turkeys today at Terrace Hill in Des Moines, continuing a longstanding Thanksgiving tradition celebrating Iowa’s turkey industry. Caitlin and Clark will now move from The Moline Farm in Manson, Iowa to a noncommercial farm in Monticello, IA.

Reynolds declared the two turkeys, named for the former University of Iowa basketball star, "free to roam" on Thanksgiving after their pardon.
