The woman boarded Delta Flight No. 264 from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, CBS News learned. She was discovered while the plane was in midair and was taken into custody in Paris.

According to CNN, a stowaway managed to board a Delta flight at JFK International Airport in New York City and hitch a ride to Paris. The network reported that Delta Flight 264 took off from JFK International Airport Tuesday with an individual on board who didn't have a proper boarding pass.

A stowaway evaded airport security and flew on a Delta Air Lines flight from New York to Paris Tuesday before being found in bathroom on the plane. NBC’s Erin McLaughlin reports for TODAY.

The individual, who did not have a boarding pass, completed security screening and bypassed two identity verification and boarding status stations to board the aircraft, according to a TSA spokesperson.

"This woman somehow got on the plane and hid in a lavatory during takeoff and wasn't detected until we were about to land," a passenger said.
