Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a new nearly $115 billion state budget into law. Monday's signing ceremony capped a long and combative legislative season marked by GOP infighting.

"I think it was true prior to me signing this budget, but I think signing the budget underscores the fact that Florida is the best fiscally managed state in these United States," DeSantis said at an event in Wildwood on June 30.

Ron DeSantis approved an austere $115 billion spending plan on the last day of the fiscal year Monday, one that is less than the current budget yet still delivers almost $1 billion in tax savings for Florida businesses.
