North Florida will see the coldest temperatures with the Pensacola area seeing lows as cold as 39 degrees and Jacksonville getting down to about 36 degrees on Tuesday night. Things warm up a bit later in the week with Sunday seeing temperatures close to about 70 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

As temperatures have dropped, cold weather shelters have begun to open across Central Florida. Monday and Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop into the high 30s to low 40s. Officials urge everyone to follow "the Five Ps for Cold Weather Preparedness:" Protect People,
