Horizon Online is reportedly the next game in PlayStation's open-world robot-dinosaur series, not a single-player threequel.

Other live-service titles for Sony include Haven Studios’ Fairgame$, which is still in development, but also the cancellation of The Last of Us Online. Schreier said the Horizon project is one of the few that hasn’t been canceled.

Guerrilla Games ’ next major release will reportedly be its Horizon online game. That’s according to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, who discussed the Sony studio’s plans for its flagship series during a recent Spawn Wave podcast.

Schreier continued: “PlayStation’s live service initiative was no joke, everybody was like, ‘It’s live service games all around.’ Horizon is one of the few ones that hasn't been cancelled or hasn't come out and flopped the way Concord did and so yeah, a lot of questions. A lot of people are working on that.”

The next project from the Horizon studio Guerrilla Games is reportedly an online game, and the third single-player entry in the series is still a while away.

While Guerrilla Games confirmed they would be making a third single-player 'Horizon' title, industry insider Jason Schreier has now claimed the project "might be a ways off" because the studio is focused on making an online game in the series.
