Mumbai: The feeling of near misses has haunted Harmanpreet Kaur for long but the Indian captain feels that her team has ticked all the boxes in its bid to cross the line in the Women's T20 World Cup beginning in the UAE from October 3.

Before entering the tournament, India suffered a disappointing group stage exit from the ICC ODI World Cup 2007. Entering the T20 World Cup 2007, the Indian side was without some of their experienced players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid.

Kaur emphasised that while cricketing skills are crucial, equal emphasis on player fitness has proven essential with the Indian team embracing this approach.

The Indian women's cricket team has never won the tournament before but with the men's team ending their world title drought earlier this year, Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. would also want to get the title which has eluded them with their best performance coming in the 2020 edition of the competition where they finished as the runners-up,

According to  pop culture magazine Rolling Stone, W.i.S.H. is "India’s first all-female major pop group in 22 years" . The four members of the group are Riya Duggal (Ri), Simran Duggal (Sim), Zoe Siddharth (Zo) and Suchita Shirke (Suchi).

The official music video was also launched alongside the soundtrack, offering a cinematic preview of the tournament. It features highlight reels of iconic moments in women’s cricket and the choreography portrays the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 as the must-watch event of the year.
