Rescuers continue to search for an estimated 20 girls who were at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas when deadly floods from the Guadalupe River swept through the camp.

Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls ages 7 to 17, is located along the Guadalupe River in Hunt, Texas-a community now at the epicenter of a deadly flood emergency. At least six people have died in what Governor Greg Abbott called "devastating flooding" across the Hill Country and Concho Valley.

Runyan stressed the importance of avoiding travelling around the Kerr County region. “There’s still a lot of low water crossings flooded,” he said. “If you do live along — or are vacationing along — the Guadalupe River, you need to seek higher ground right now."
