Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Modern Family and Hysteria! alum Julie Bowen has signed on to star in a new NBC comedy called Taste. The show is from writer-executive producers Justin Shanes ( St. Denis Medical) and Nedaa Sweiss ( The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon ).

Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Julie Bowen both spent Thanksgiving night in the emergency room with their children. The two Modern Family alums, who starred as siblings Claire Dunphy and Mitchell Pritchett on the show, never ran into each other but shared the same unfortunate end to their respective holiday celebrations.

Modern Family fame and Emmy Award-winning actor Julie Bowen is all set to headline a half-hour comedy series, Taste, which is currently in development in NBC and Universal Television. The series comes from writers and executive producers Justin Shames and Nedaa Swiess.
