The National Hurricane Center on Thursday increased odds that a developing system could head into the Gulf of Mexico and become a tropical depression or storm — while it also kept tabs on two systems in the Atlantic.

AccuWeather shows that there is a high risk the disturbance could target the Gulf Coast, from Louisiana to Florida, based on historical data.

The next tropical storm could come from a slow-spinning system in the northern Caribbean, according to the National Hurricane Center.
