Pennsylvania Democratic Sen. Bob Casey conceded the race to Republican Dave McCormick more than two weeks after Election Day.

Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt has ordered counties to halt recounting ballots in Pennsylvania’s U.S. Senate race. The order comes a day after incumbent U.S. Senator Bob Casey conceded the race to Republican Dave McCormick.

Pa., conceded to Republican Dave McCormick on Thursday, formally ending his reelection bid and acknowledging defeat two weeks after the Associated Press declared McCormick’s victory and after a statewide recount of the race had already been triggered.
