Tony Finau was removed from the field at Tiger Woods' Hero World Classic in the Bahamas, spawning further LIV Golf speculation.

Perhaps Tony Finau will join LIV Golf after all. After initially committing to this week’s Hero World Challenge, the 20-man event hosted by Tiger Woods every December, Finau pulled out at the last minute due to undisclosed reasons.

Tony Finau has pulled out of the Hero World Challenge. Finau was originally listed in the 20-man field for this week’s tournament at Albany in the Bahamas, but an updated field list posted by the PGA Tour on Monday morning did not include Finau and instead listed Sepp Straka as one of three sponsor exemptions.

Tony Finau has pulled out of the Hero World Challenge. Finau was removed from Tiger Woods’ exhibition event in the Bahamas on Sunday night. As of Monday morning no reason was given from Finau or the PGA Tour for his withdrawal.

Tony Finau was penned in to compete at the Hero World Challenge on the PGA Tour this week, however the 35-year-old has been replaced in the field by Sepp Straka

Tony Finau, No. 26 in the Official World Golf Ranking, won’t tee it up this week at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas for Tiger Woods’ silly-season event. Finau hasn’t played since the Presidents Cup, where he went 2-2-0 in Team USA’s win.
