Aryna Sabalenka has retirement on her mind. The world No. 1 revealed in a video posted right before the start of her quest to three-peat at the 2025 Australian Open that she wants to have kids sooner rather than later, and at age 26, that could mean retiring earlier than perhaps many expected.

Several players at Australian Open 2025 have been competing without a national flag, with world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka included.

Aryna Sabalenka currently sits at No 1 in the WTA Rankings, but the top spot could change hands after the Australian Open with Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff ready to pounce. Sabalenka has been top of the rankings since October last year when she replaced Swiatek on the back of her title runs at the US Open and the Wuhan Open.

Australian Open is here, and the world's best tennis players are not the only ones competing in Melbourne. All of the major sportswear brands are trying to steal the global spotlight at the first Grand Slam of the year.
