As Houston faces the possibility of snow and freezing temperatures next week, the Houston Independent School District (HISD) is closely monitoring the situation.

With the Texas-sized freeze arriving on Sunday and wind chills expected to plunge into the single digits, some Houston area school districts have already taken action.
