MEXICO CITY - Israel Vázquez, the Mexican fighter known as ‘El Magnifico’ who won three bantamweight world titles, has died. He was 46 years old. World Boxing Council (WBC) president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed his death on Tuesday.

Israel Vazquez, a three-time super bantamweight boxing world champion, has died from cancer at age 46. He revealed last month he’d been diagnosed with stage 4 sarcoma.
