Georgia’s state House wants to spend more on Hurricane Helene relief and is cutting some of Gov. Brian Kemp’s prison and construction spending proposals to do so.

In response to the widespread devastation of Hurricane Helene to Georgia’s farming and timber industries, several state senators filed legislation to provide relief to those impacted by the storm’s damage.
