The Michigan Board of State Canvassers has voted unanimously to certify the the results of the November election, a notable difference from four years ago when supporters of Donald Trump cast skeptici

The 2024 election in Michigan has been certified as a win for President-elect Donald Trump and Senator-elect Elissa Slotkin, among all races statewide.

Before Friday’s state canvassers’ meeting, bipartisan canvassing boards in each of Michigan’s 83 counties certified the election results in their jurisdictions before the legal deadline.

Under Michigan law, any candidates who wish to request a recount must do so by the morning of Monday, Nov. 25.

President-elect Donald Trump won Michigan by about 80,000 votes in November as the state saw the greatest voter turnout in state history at more than 5.7 million ballots cast, according to state election results certified unanimously Friday by the Michigan Board of State Canvassers.

The canvassers' meeting inside the Michigan Senate's Binsfeld Office Building lasted about 90 minutes and cemented former President Trump's victory of 1.4 percentage points, 49.7%-48.3%, over the incumbent vice president.
