Anthony Davis is "in increasingly strong contention" to return during the Dallas Mavericks' upcoming four-game road trip, per NBA insider Marc Stein.

Dallas-area native Cade Cunningham had 35 points in his first game back home, but the Pistons fell, 123-117 to the Mavericks.

In his first professional game in his hometown, Cade Cunningham led Detroit with 35 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Jalen Duren added 14 points, nine rebounds and two blocks, while Ron Holland II came off the bench and added a dozen.
