The F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix has been red-flagged following a big crash for Williams’ Franco Colapinto. Colapinto lost control of his Williams coming out of the final corner and slammed into the barriers while the race was neutralised by the Safety Car amid worsening heavy rain.

Formula 1's Brazilian Grand Prix has been red-flagged just before half-distance after a heavy crash by Franco Colapinto. Running in 16th, Colapinto crashed coming onto the main straight on lap 32 as the field was under safety car conditions due to the rain that had plagued the race becoming more intense.

A fifth red flag has been flown at a hugely chaotic Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying session this morning. After crashes earlier in the day for Franco Colapinto, Carlos Sainz, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, Alex Albon lost control of his car heading into turn one in the final moments of Q3, with a huge crash occurring as a result.

The first Red Flag of the Brazilian Grand Prix has been deployed on lap 32. The rain started to hammer down, leading the FIA to first deploy the safety car. A lap later, Colapitno smashed into the wall at the last corner heavily.
