A man accused of shooting at vehicles on Highway 401 and committing a rash of carjackings and attempted carjackings in Toronto is facing more than a dozen additional charges.

A man whose alleged violent carjackings last month spanned the Greater Toronto Area and included firing shots at passing cars on Highway 401 has been charged by Ontario Provincial Police.

The OPP have laid 18 charges as part of a two-day crime rampage where a man is alleged to have shot at at least 10 vehicles on Highway 401 near Dixie in Mississauga on Nov 26. Police say reports about the shootings began coming in around 5 a.
