Princess Beatrice has given birth to a new baby girl who will now be 11th in line to the throne, pushing fan-favourite royals down the line of succession. The Princess of York was due to give birth in early spring but welcomed the child a week ago,

Athena’s arrival will place Beatrice’s younger sister, Princess Eugenie, back one place to 12th in line. Eugenie’s children, August (born in February 2021) and Ernest (born in May 2023) will be pushed back to 13th and 14th place respectively.

There’s another little royal in the British line of succession. Princess Beatrice, the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, has welcomed her second baby with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
