Nvidia is establishing a new research center in Boston, in collaboration with Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), to drive forward advancements in quantum computing powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

A new Boston-based facility will bring together researchers and Nvidia's latest GB200 NVL72 rack-scale hardware to achieve 'accelerated quantum supercomputing.'

The chipmaker NVIDIA held its annual conference in Silicon Valley this week. Among the major announcements: it chose Boston to be the site of its first-ever research center for quantum computing, opening later this year.
