Electric companies across the Local 6 region are reporting several power outages as remnants of Hurricane Helene pass through the area.

More than 1.5 million homes remained without power Tuesday morning in southeastern states decimated by Helene, including the Carolinas and Georgia.

Massive rains brought by Hurricane Helene have left many people stranded or homeless as the cleanup begins. In Augusta, Georgia, a line wrapped around a massive shopping center, past the shutterd Waffle House and at least a half mile down the road to get water Tuesday.
