UK Net Migration Fell in Year to June as Tory Curbs Took Effect
The number of long-term migrants arriving in the UK continued to fall in the year to June 2024, as the previous government’s efforts to crack down on immigration took effect.

LONDON (Reuters) -Net migration to Britain hit more than 900,000 in the year to June 2023, sharply higher than the original estimate, before tougher visa rules led to a 20% fall in numbers in 2024, official data showed on Thursday.
