(JTA) — Black Jewish novelist Walter Mosley received one of the National Book Foundation’s highest honors on Wednesday night: the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters.

In 1990, Mosley’s terrific first novel, “Devil in a Blue Dress,” introduced Ezekiel “Easy” Rawlins, a Black World War II combat veteran trying to make his way in Los Angeles in 1948.

"We understand that according to the Better Business Bureau, experts say a shocking 80% of sponsored pet advertisements may be fake or fraudulent," said New York Secretary of State Walter Mosley.
