Contract talks between the Commanders and star receiver Terry McLaurin remain at a stalemate ahead of this month's training camp.

Outside of Jakobi Meyers, Vegas' pass-catching core surrounding newly acquired quarterback Geno Smith includes the likes of Tre Tucker, Dont'e Thornton Jr., and rookie Jack Bech. To be frank, that's not good enough—especially when your head coach is 73 years old and looking to win sooner rather than later.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported on Sunday's edition of SportsCenter that McLaurin "is not happy with where things are with an extension." He added that the Commanders will "have a couple of weeks here to make progress" before McLaurin's holdout could potentially extend into training camp.
