Police fatally shot a man holding a knife to another at a north Arlington motel, where he had been causing a disturbance. The suspect died from his injuries.

Arlington police shot and killed Edgar Ayala Garcia, 34, early Wednesday morning at a Motel 6 near AT&T Stadium, medical examiner records show. Ayala Garcia was armed with a knife when he was killed,

A man, 19, and a woman, 18, were shot and killed in an Arlington apartment complex Saturday night, police said.

Police say the man was "dealing with some emotional distress." After a brief standoff, he peacefully surrendered. No one was hurt.

Officers found two men, who police believe did not know each other, fighting inside a motel room. One of them was injured and yelling for help.
