Michigan football road to upset Ohio State just got even tougher, with two of its top players out: No Will Johnson again, and no Colston Loveland.

Johnson was initially injured in the second half of the USC game in Week 4, but he returned to the lineup after missing one game against Minnesota. However, he appeared to have suffered a case of turf toe in the first half of Week 8 at Illinois and has not returned to the lineup since.

Michigan TE Colston Loveland’s status for Saturday’s rivalry game against Ohio State is coming into question. ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported an “increasing pessimism” about his chances of playing in The Game after suffering an injury against Northwestern.
