Guy Bartkus exhibited warning signs prior to the attack that should have been reported to law enforcement, the city’s police chief told CNN Monday.

the bureau believes it has identified the suspect connected to a bombing near a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California, as 25-year-old Guy Edward Bartkus, and that he held "nihilistic" views.

Law enforcement sources told CBS that the Bartkus, the suspect, is a resident of Twentynine Palms, home to a large marine base about an hour away from Palm Springs.
