Police in Norway have arrested the 27-year-old son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit on suspicion of rape, saying the alleged victim was "unable to resist the act."

Marius Borg Høiby, the 27-year-old son of Norway’s Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was arrested in Oslo on suspicion of rape, police said.

Marius Borg Hoiby, the stepson of Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, was arrested on Monday. His lawyer denied the accusation and said his client was cooperating with the authorities.

Authorities confirmed that he was with the same woman from the August incident when he was arrested on Monday.

Princess Mette Marit's son Marius Borg Høiby is set to be released from police custody following rape allegations last week.

A judge requested that Marius Borg Høiby - who is Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway's son - be taken into custody for a week last Wednesday, following his arrest on 18th November.
