THE meeting of 58-year-old Mike Tyson (who should never box again) and 27-year-old Jake Paul (who needs to stop picking on old guys) got all the hype and the majority of the attention, but once again Katie Taylor showcased her warrior heart in another pulsating battle against Amanda Serrano in Texas.

Katie Taylor retained her unanimous super lightweight championship with another disputed decision over Amanda Serrano in a slugfest remarkably similar to the original two years ago.

Taylor, 38, retained the undisputed lightweight titles against Serrano, 36, at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in 2022. She won a split decision that night, before winning the rematch via unanimous decision to retain the undisputed super-lightweight belts – at Dallas’s AT&T Stadium, in the co-main event of Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.

Taylor defeated Serrano by split decision to defend her undisputed lightweight title in 2022. The fight was the first-ever women’s headliner at Madison Square Garden, and garnered global acclaim for both fighters earning Sports Illustrated’s Fight of the Year.
