The sheriff says the victim wasn't wearing a helmet, and it appears alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.

Troopers with Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly ATV crash. Police said the crash happened on Route 641 in Buchanan County on Saturday. They said the ATV ran off the side of the road and hit a tree.
