Mikel Arteta has urged Arsenal to enter a six-way transfer race for wantaway Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, according to reports. Much was expected of Nkunku following his £52m move from RB Leipzig in 2023 but the France international has underwhelmed at Stamford Bridge.

However, former Arsenal star and football pundit, Paul Merson believes that Arteta could be in big trouble if his team aren't competing for the Premier League crown. “This Arsenal team is a good team but you’ve got to go and win something," Merson told Sky Sports .
