Thunderstorms forecast to hit Colorado on Sunday could bring large, damaging hail and tornadoes to the Eastern Plains, according to the National Weather Service.

Another round of potentially severe storms is expected Sunday evening. These will be more isolated than Saturday. The timing is a bit later, mainly from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of east central Wise and central Denton counties through 5:30 p.

The storm clouds aren’t finished with North Texas. After early evening rain Friday and Saturday, the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office is predicting more scattered but potentially severe storms.

Michigan's recent string of tornadoes has brought the statewide total to 25 so far this year through Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. "Through mid-May, that's the fastest pace we've experienced," said Steven Freitag, a meteorologist with the agency based in White Lake Township.

The National Weather Service confirms that three touched down in Genesee, Livingston and Saginaw counties after overnight severe storms on Thursday.

There was a lot of straight-line wind action that did damage to homes, uprooted trees and downed power lines during the powerful storm that swept Michigan on Thursday night and Friday morning. But the National Weather Service says there were also several weak tornadoes spinning up along the storm’s leading edge.
