With the Uttar Pradesh assembly bypoll trends and results favouring NDA-BJP candidates, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday (November 23, 2024) said these are proof of people’s unwavering faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s leadership.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won seven of the nine assembly seats for which the bypolls were held on November 20. The NDA not only improved its tally over 2022, but also snatched seats like Kundarki and Katehari from the SP, besides increasing the winning margins on some and narrowing down the defeat gap on some others.

Experts believe the decisive victory in the Maharashtra Assembly elections could prompt a shift in investor sentiment, with a renewed focus on railway, infrastructure, and banking stocks.
