Mike Brown, the new head coach of the New York Knicks, is reportedly expected to hire a new associate head coach and demote Rick Brunson from that position and into a "lesser" role, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post.

But the biggest role change will belong to Brunson, 53, an NBA assistant for over a decade with five NBA teams. Brunson was elevated to the front of the bench last season after the associate head coach, Johnnie Bryant, left for the Cavaliers.
