Updating maps of Southern California show where wildfires, including the Palisades and Eaton fires, are burning across Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is working to locate and identify dozens of missing persons from the Eaton and Palisades fire zones. The department is releasing bulletins to the public with information and photos of the active cases.

Three dozen people remain missing in the wake of the Palisades and Eaton fires, Los Angeles area police agencies said on Thursday, Jan. 16. Thirty-eight people were reported missing since the Palisades fire began.
