Japanese phenom pitcher Roki Sasaki has revealed that he is married. That even caught Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts by surprise.

Sasaki’s surprise wedding announcement comes nearly a year after teammate Shohei Ohtani did the same thing. Similar to Sasaki, Ohtani also kept his relationship private upon the announcement, but he has since revealed the identity of his wife, former Japanese professional basketball player Mamiko Tanaka.

Just like Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani did last year, the pitcher announced the news in an Instagram post without naming his wife or specific details about when or where they were married.
