Pope Leo XIV is expected to live in the Vatican's Apostolic Palace, unlike the late Pope Francis who shunned the palace in favour of a Vatican hotel, according to several Vatican officials.

The deputy chairman, who is heading the Indian delegation to Vatican City for the inauguration, will call on the new Pope, it is learnt. The meeting Is likely to be after the inauguration.

The new pope will preside over an inauguration Mass on Sunday in St. Peter’s Square, according to the Vatican.
