The Royals added a notable name on Sunday, signing super utility player Cavan Biggio to a Minor League contract. Biggio, who will turn 30 on April 11, finished fifth in American League Rookie of the Year Award voting with the Blue Jays in 2019.
Biggio, 29, has a baseball pedigree. His father, Craig, starred with the Houston Astros and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2015. Cavan Biggio has spent six seasons in MLB across stints with the Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves.
