Los Angeles authorities arrested a couple and impounded their fake fire truck after they were allegedly caught impersonating firefighters near the Palisades Fire. (Los Angeles County Sheriff's Dept.) Officials said the two occupants were also wearing CAL-Fire T-shirts under the turnout gear, and had helmets and radios.
The Palisades Fire has been the largest in terms of burned areas. The iconic Malibu restaurant Moonshadows was completely destroyed, as was the Palisades Branch Library. The Palisades Charter High School suffered extensive damage. Here’s an analysis of the building damage with what we know now:

With the burn area nearly fully contained, final evacuation orders stemming from the deadly Palisades Fire were lifted, allowing residents to return to their properties, but nightly curfews are still in place Wednesday in fire areas.
The orders for the final two neighborhoods within the Los Angeles portion of the fire area were lifted shortly after noon.
CBS News has confirmed that as the Palisades Fire started on Jan. 7, only 19 fire engines were pre-deployed to the area.
